13 Clearly, God’s promise to give the whole earth to Abraham and his descendants was based not on his obedience to God’s law, but on a right relationship with God that comes by faith. 14 If God’s promise is only for those who obey the law, then faith is not necessary and the promise is pointless. 15 For the law always brings punishment on those who try to obey it. (The only way to avoid breaking the law is to have no law to break!)
Terrie's Comments:
I think it is becoming very clear why Jesus came to bring a new covenant and to make the old law null and void. Even more clear than it was in Hebrews... if that is possible (and apparently it is). I am glad that we are required to live by faith not by the letter of the law or we would all be sunk!

Wow, that was really short. It also pretty much sums up everything I've read these past few days.

Please keep all comments respectful. We want to remember that each of us is at a different place in our walk with God. This is a place for us to share openly about what has been revealed to us as we open up Gods word and to learn from others. Please take every opportunity possible to build each other up in love :-)
