5 Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2 Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.
3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
Terrie's Comments:
I love standing in a place of peace with God... it does give me confidence that he has my back. I am joyfully looking forward to the future as I consider how temporary my time here on earth as an Ambassador of Jesus Christ really is. It gives me joy in times when unrest is surrounding me knowing that I am looking forward to sharing God's glory in heaven forever!
Every trial and problem that I have run into I have either chosen to trust God or tried to solve the situation on my own. Each and every time that I have chosen to trust God he has come to my rescue and has shown up in many miraculous ways over the years. We need to remember to give God a place of honor in our lives and keep going to him first. When we go to God first with everything he gets ALL THE GLORY for everything that happens in our lives and in turn our confidence and hope in our salvation is stronger. God has never disappointed me.
I LOVE that He says that one of the jobs of the Holy Spirit in our lives is to FILL OUR HEARTS WITH HIS LOVE!!! That is awesome :-)

That chain in verses 3, 4 and 5 is a definite hopeful outlook. One that I fail to have. Optimism can be hard.
Wow! He has given us the Holy Spirit TO fill our hearts with love. I didn't know this was scriptural. AWESOOMMMMEEE.

Please keep all comments respectful. We want to remember that each of us is at a different place in our walk with God. This is a place for us to share openly about what has been revealed to us as we open up Gods word and to learn from others. Please take every opportunity possible to build each other up in love :-)
