27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 28 And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? 30 Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? 31 Now eagerly desire the greater gifts.
And yet I will show you the most excellent way.
Terrie's Comments:
We all have jobs to do... we are not called to do all of the jobs alone. Each of us has a part to play. We are to eagerly desire these gifts empowered through the Holy Spirit. If we are in a place of eagerly desiring the gifts we will be willing to step out in faith when the Holy Spirit prompts us to do what Jesus has called us to do.

All of these so far have had a similar theme...as usual. It's interesting that he lists them in order of importance? Did I get the right impression?
