Hebrews 10:11-20
11 Under the old covenant, the priest stands and ministers before the altar day after day, offering the same sacrifices again and again, which can never take away sins. 12 But our High Priest offered himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, good for all time. Then he sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand. 13 There he waits until his enemies are humbled and made a footstool under his feet. 14 For by that one offering he forever made perfect those who are being made holy.
15 And the Holy Spirit also testifies that this is so. For he says,
16 “This is the new covenant I will make
with my people on that day, says the Lord:
I will put my laws in their hearts,
and I will write them on their minds.”
17 Then he says,
“I will never again remember
their sins and lawless deeds.”
18 And when sins have been forgiven, there is no need to offer any more sacrifices.
19 And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. 20 By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.

So many things sticking out to me in this passage. First, that we are being made holy, but we're also already perfect (vs. 14) because we're covered by Jesus's righteousness. This kind of confuses me. Am I right in thinking it's saying that once we are saved, God begins shaping us like Jesus? Or am I totally off?
Next. We can BOLDLY (vs. 19) talk to God and confess and be free of guilt because we know the truth. Also, that Jesus gives life and that we're lucky enough to be able to use the new way Jesus has opened (vs. 20). Haha, this part of my bible is so highlighted because of all the beautiful phrases I keep finding!

I absolutely LOVE that this passage is so clear that Jesus has finished everything that needs to be done for us to enter boldly into the Most Holy Place... we, ourselves can enter without further sacrifice or shedding of anymore blood. It has been finished. There is no more need to offer anymore sacrifice. It also states quite clearly that God will never again remember our lawlessness or our sinless deeds.... this is great news. I know that I make mistakes on a daily basis and often fall short of God's perfection. I love that I can enter His throne room boldly without guilt or shame and the slate is already clean before Him because I enter clothed in the righteousness of Jesus Christ alone.
